Sports and games hold immense value in our lives. They help us develop strength in both body and mind, shape a balanced outlook, and promote discipline and harmony. Beyond individual benefits, sports foster international brotherhood, reduce enmity among nations, and create opportunities for global friendship. By excelling in sports, we can bring honour and glory not only to ourselves but also to our beloved nation.
Ethnosports and games are a reflection of cultural identity shaped over centuries. Rooted in history, they are an integral part of a community’s heritage and play a vital role in nurturing feelings of love, respect, and unity. In both national and international spheres, ethnosports contribute significantly to cultural exchange and world peace.
It is with great pride and heartfelt commitment that I share this message as the Founder and President of the International Ethnosport Bangladesh Association (IEBA). Since beginning our journey in 2015, my vision has been to present Bangladesh on the global stage by engaging people from all walks of life—especially the youth—in sports that strengthen physical and mental well-being.
When IEBA expanded its mission in 2018, our goal grew even broader: to build strong and meaningful bridges between Bangladesh and the international ethnosport community. Today, I am proud to see Bangladeshi athletes and youth actively participating in globally renowned ethnosports such as Mas-Wrestling, Togyzqumalaq/Toguz Korgool, Mangala, Salvar Guresi, and Kyrgyz Kurosh. Through global partnerships, national championships, school-based programs, and continuous training initiatives, IEBA is ensuring that these traditional games flourish in the modern era.
Our progress is a testament to the passion, dedication, and collective efforts of our athletes, partners, and well-wishers. I extend my sincere gratitude to all international federations and global friends who have supported Bangladesh’s growing presence in the worldwide ethnosport movement.
As we look ahead, The International Ethnosport Bangladesh Association remains committed to empowering youth, preserving traditional values, and proudly representing Bangladesh within the global ethnosport family. Together, let us continue to guide our youth and future generations through ethnosports and traditional games—strengthening cultural ties and celebrating the timeless spirit of these treasured traditions.
