On Thursday, 19 February, A distinguished delegation led by His Excellency Mr. Bilal Erdoğan, son of the President of the Republic of Türkiye and President of the World Ethnosport Union, visited the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar.
During the visit, Mr. Al Mamun, President of the International Ethnosport Bangladesh Association, held a cordial meeting with His Excellency Mr. Bilal Erdoğan and members of the Turkish delegation. The delegation included FIFA World Cup–winning football star Mr. Mesut Özil and Mr. Abdullah Eren, President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency #TIKA , along with other senior representatives.
As part of the programme, H.E Mr. Bilal Erdoğan and members of the delegation participated in a charity football match with Rohingya youth at the camp grounds. The delegation also visited facilities supported by the Government of Türkiye, including the field hospital and various initiatives focused on environmental management, healthcare services, and educational development. They took time to engage with children and assess their immediate needs.
In the evening, the delegation joined members of the Rohingya community for Iftar, reflecting solidarity and continued humanitarian commitment.
