International Ethnosport Bangladesh Association
Ethnosports represent the cultural heritage, identity, and historical traditions of communities across the world. These games, preserved and passed down through generations, embody ancestral skills, values, and wisdom while fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding among nations.
Characterized by their simplicity, accessibility, and inclusivity, ethnosports are suitable for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Requiring minimal equipment, they emphasize participation, physical skill, and cultural expression. In recent years, global interest in ethnosports has grown significantly, with organizations such as the World Ethnosport Union (Türkiye), the International Mas-Wrestling Federation (Russia), the World Togyzqumalaq Federation (Kazakhstan), the Qatari Society of Algannas (Qatar), the International Federation of Mancala Games (Kyrgyzstan), the Japan Equestrian Archery Association (Japan), the Argentine Pato Federation (Argentina),the World Kokpar Association (Kazakhstan), the International Kyrgyz Kurosh Federation (Kyrgyzstan), and the World Salvar Guresi Federation (Türkiye) leading worldwide efforts to promote and preserve these traditional games.
The International Ethnosport Bangladesh Association (IEBA) is a pioneering national organization dedicated to promoting and developing ethnosports and games in Bangladesh.
